Website update 30th march

Today I have gone back to my website since I had some time and I decided to add some music for some of my pages. To do this I went onto Youtube to find some music. After finding 3 songs that I liked I downloaded them onto the computer then went onto wix and clicked on add music. I found where the music was and I put it onto Wix. I uploaded the music then I had to decide which song would go onto what page. I did the home page, the about page and the last creative media page. I also added a animation for when the website loads. I think that my website is now done and I am pleased with it.

website update 16th march

Today I have added more pictures to my website for the photography and creative media pages. I have added pictures of my work that I have done. I added a picture of my first poster I did for my freak or unique project. I also added a picture of when I was learning the tools of photoshop in one of our first lessons in creative media. For photography I added some pictures of my test shots for the freak or unique project when we was playing with the lighting for the pictures.

Evaluation

For this assignment I have created a website for all my work I have done so far on this course. I made the website on wix and first I looked at all the different templates of the background for my website to see which one I think looks best. I choose 3 templates I liked the best and put them on blogger and wrote about them. I choose a blue background with moving images because I think it looked different to all the others and it was the one that stood out the most to me.

For the first page I came up with a name for my website and I put Filming and Photography underneath because I wanted to show off what it was that I do. On the second page I did the about page. I detailed what it was I did in my spare time. I posted some pictures of my youtube channel and a poster I had created for a video. I also wrote that I was a gamer and I detailed how time consuming it was to do youtube. Then I created a contact page and I posted a picture of some of my earlier work I did for the freak or unique project. I also listed my email address and let people who view my website write me a comment.

The next page I made was the film page. I posted a video from my youtube channel of a trailer I made for a game. I also posted a short film I made while at college. I  made sure that the link worked and they can watch the youtube video from my website. I wrote about what these videos were and I said that one was created at home and one was created at college.

The next page was my photography page. I posted some pictures of my work from college. I posted my film noir poster and a test shot I did for the first project. I wanted to add more pictures but there was none that I thought looked good. The poster was my final image for the film noir project and the second picture was when I was testing the lighting in photoshop.

For the creative design page I added some pictures of my game I created and some pictures that I did earlier in the year, also the final poster I made for freak or unique. I wrote about how I have been playing around with images and making them merge together. I did this with the lion picture I had added. I made a lion with three eyes and I also made a poster for the shampoo I made a short advert for in the filming work. The game I made was the last project we did for creative design I added the game level and also showed off the villain and the main character I had created.

To add the images and videos I clicked on the toolbar on the side of the screen. I click on add and then add image. It will come up with a screen where all the images I upload would be there. Once I had found the images I needed I would click on add to page and then I would just need to move it and resize the image to how I want it to be. I would do the same to add a video. For the background I would click on the first option on the tool bar. This would be the background tool. That is where I could create the background how I wanted it. That is where I got my template from. There is a lot of options on there. You can choose to have it moving or just to have it as a image. I choose to have a moving image because I thought it looked better and more eye catching.

I added some music on 3 of the pages for my website. I got the music from youtube and I downloaded it to the computer and uploaded it to the website. I only did 3 pages and I made sure the sound wasn't too loud.

In this project I learned how to create a website in wix. I learned a lot of the tools in wix and how to add a template for a background. I have also learned how to add videos and picures to a website. The benefits for using interactive media for a portfolio is that it will never be lost. The only problems with it is that I would have to watermark all of my work or someone else could easlily take it and upload it saying it was their own.

Overall I think that the project went well and I was proud of it when it was finished. The images looked good and the text was appropriate for what they was describing. Things I think I could improve on is writing more text. Some of the pages like the photography and the filming page did not have much writing on them. I feel like I could've wrote more about how I created this.

Website update

Today I have added an about page to my website and I have added some pictures, I said a bit about myself and what I do in my free time and I have added some pictures to show what I do.



































I have uploaded the images from my youtube channel. Then I went on to do the creative design work and I have uploaded the image of my games character and level that I did in lesson.        
                                                                                                                                       






































There is not much on this page but I have shown what I think is my best piece of work for creative design.

I Like this design because there is a lot on the home page which I think is a good thing to have on the home page. Also there is a few pictures on the page. I like the design of this but I dont think I will use it.
















I like this design better and It will be the one I base my design off. I like the colours and there is not too much on the page. I will be able to put more information in the sections like Photography and film. It also helps if someone wants to see a certain thing on my page they wont need to look through a lot of information

The colours are eye catching and there a few links showing there is a lot of different information. I think the colours match it looks better than if the colours were green and yellow. I think this would work well for my work, as I could use the links at the top for the different pieces of work.




There is a lot of information on this template that I could use and there is enough space for a few images. There is also the links at the top that I could use. I think that it would match my work, but maybe if I can I would change the colours.


This website is very colorful and eye catching, however there is not much room on the home page for showing what the website is about which I think is an important thing to do on the homepage.

I like this website because it is unique and the colours are eye catching. There is a lot of different links showing that there is a lot of information on the website. I like that it is unique however I dont know what the website is about because it is not in English.

There is a lot of different things to look at on this website making it eye catching, there is not one picture which is the same.It is not clear what the website is from the front page. I like that there is a lot to look at.



I like the colours of this website as it stays to blue and is not throwing colours at you, I think that it makes it look more professional.
